LUCA POLETTI

Multi-awarded composer and finalist at the "Marvin Hamlisch International Music Award 2021" (jury president Quincy Jones) Luca has collaborated with artists from all over the world with different musical backgrounds like Maria Schnieder, Gil Goldstein, Uri Caine, Paolo Fresu and many others.
His talent has been recognised by several prestigious institutions, leading him to perform and present his work in venues like Central Park (NYC), Birdland (NYC), North Georgia University (USA), ISSMA - Indianapolis (USA), Camera dei Deputati (Rome), Berlin (D), Tirana (Albania)
TRAINING

TEACHING
Over the years, Luca has held teaching positions in several Italian conservatories, including Sassari, and Rome and Trento where he also led the relative jazz orchestras. Currently, he is professor of Jazz Composition at the Conservatory of Music “A.Buzzolla” in Adria, Italy.
In 2017 he also had the pleasure to be Gil Goldstein assistant at the New York University Music Department.
ARTISTIC ACTIVITY
A sought-after arranger, he composes music for large jazz ensembles, symphony orchestras and short films/movies.

Luca regularly publishes for several publishing houses: Da Vinci (Jap), Wingert-Jones (Philadelphia), Morlacchi (Ita), Marina Music Publishing (Seattle), Wicky Music (Milan, ITA)
He has also served on a number of soundtrack evaluation juries for awards
